Aircraft Tail Docks
Aircraft tail docks are constructed identically with the necessary dimensional changes to suit the various aircraft types regarding the internal services levels. They include:
- Structural steel external framework
- “Clam shell” design for tailplane encapsulation
- Each taildock is half mounted on recessed rails to allow natural water drainage. Brushstrips are installed adjacent to the wheels to clear debris from the recessed rails. External cladding in powder coated Aluminium sheet with designated areas clad in translucent GRP (roof/gable ends)
- Internal access levels to suit each aircraft covered in non-slip flooring material with removable safety rails and adjustable fingerboards for aircraft contour.
